Sahil Malhotra - One Poem

Empty
These empty days,
In my most eventful of lives
These empty nights,
Where solitude forever strives.
These empty eyes
That reflect the ennui of existence
These empty funnels
That mock the vanity of persistence
This empty mind
Filled with my thoughts deranged
This empty house
Filled with my kin estranged
My empty coffin
Waiting for its mate eternal
My empty soul
Roaming this void infernal
My empty heart
Ensnared in her silken tress
My empty life
Reprieved in my emptiness...
